Park regulations

Skuleskogen National Park was established in 1984 and comprises 3 062 hectares, of which 2 747 is land. The Swedish State owns the land via the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency. Västernorrland County Administrative Board administrates the park. Please respect the park regulations, as they are established to maintain and protect the national park.

Note that within the national park it is forbidden to:

1 light fires during May 1 to September 30, except at designated sites when using brought or supplied firewood,

2 camp during May 1 to September 30, except at designated sites for a maximum of three nights at the same site. Camping for more than three nights requires permission from the County Administrative Board,

3 drive motor vehicles. You may drive snowmobiles on the sea ice within the national park to pass the section, or to reach icefishing sites,

4 drive personal water vehicles,

5 destroy or damage permanent natural objects, or surface formations,

6 fish in lakes or running waters,

7 climb nest trees, collect insects, or in any other way deliberately disturb or harm the animal life, 8 land with aircraft,

9 bring dogs, unless they are on a leash,

10 horse ride without permission from the County Administrative Board,

11 cycle, except for the coastal path between Entrance South and Entrance North,

12 dig up plants, or pick mosses, lichens and bracket fungi,

13 fell, or in any other way damage living or dead trees and shrubs,

14 undertake scientific research, competitions, camping activities, and other potentially disturbing or recurring events without the permission from the County Administrative Board
